Posted on Mar 19, 2006 in Category - General, Ayurveda & Yoga Holidays

Ayurveda means “science of life” in Sanskrit. This comprehensive system of medicine originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The origin of Ayurveda is based on ancient Hindu texts (Vedas) compiled by Rishis, or holy men.  The word is derived from the Sanskrit words “ayur” (life) and “veda” (knowledge). It includes natural therapies like proper breathing, nutrition, meditation, and aromatherapy in a manner that involves the interrelationship of the mind, body and spirit.  Common therapies include herbal, animal and mineral remedies, oil massages and steam baths. The Kairali Ayurvedic Health Resorts set amid 50 acres of lush greenery in Chennai, the monastries of Dharamshala and the idyllic Ananda Spa in the foothills of the Himalayas are some of the other popular travel and tourist destinations that have a tradition of Yoga, Meditation and spirituality attached to them. Overflowing of Tourist in Hotels for India Tours

Posted on Mar 19, 2006 in Category - General, Hotels of India

Hoteliers are wringing their hands as tourists, pouring into India, struggle to cram themselves into the country’s overflowing hotels. They say the crowding shows no signs of abating unless the government helps new hotels to develop. This is the bad impression on the tours and holidays of india. “As of this moment, Delhi is 10,000 rooms short of demand,” Rabindra Seth, who works as a consultant to ITC hotels, one of India’s largest hotel chains, told Reuters in an interview last week.”We’ve got 58,000 rooms in India at present and at this rate, we’ll need 125,000 by the turn of the century. But we have only 31,000 in the pipeline,'’ says tourism industry analyst Rabindra Seth.He says cities like Bangkok, Singapore and Hongkong each have as many hotel rooms as the entire Indian nation. “Las Vegas has 90,000. It gives you an idea of what we need to do.” That means we need the more hotels to improve the condition of the indian tours and holidays.

The Tajmahal Tours - A Tomb or A Temple

Posted on Mar 8, 2006 in Category - Forts & Palaces Tours

Taj was constructed by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan. It is said he built this monument in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. It was here that the emperor in Northern India Tours Shah Jahan was imprisoned and where he spent his last days gazing at the tomb of his beloved. If you would like to travel to Agra to see the beautiful Taj Mahal - the monument to eternal love, as well as other sites in Agra and India, on your Indian Holidays and tours, we can help you plan your tours and holidays. You can enjoy tours of Agra and other fascinating destinations in India, on any of the tours packages for Agra offered by Holidays and tours of India. If you are undecided about your honeymoon destination, no need to worry anymore. The Taj Mahal in Agra is an auspicious setting to begin your journey together. Honeymoon tours in Agra, on your Holidays and tours India, will bring alive the romantic aura of the city forever cast under the spell of Taj Mahal’s epic beauty. But I can’t say that Taj mahal is Tomb or Temple .Following are some factors to show for this………………  1.The term Tajmahal itself never occurs in any mogul court paper or chronicle even in Aurangzeb’s time. The attempt to explain it away as Taj-i-mahal is therefore, ridiculous.
2.The ending “Mahal” is never muslim because in none of the muslim countries around the world from Afghanistan to Algeria is there a building known as “Mahal”.
3.The unusual explanation of the term Tajmahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal, who is buried in it, is illogical in at least two respects viz., firstly her name was never Mumtaj Mahal but Mumtaz-ul-Zamani and secondly one cannot omit the first three letters “Mum” from a woman’s name to derive the remainder as the name of the building.
