Pachmarhi, located in the Satpura ranges, is believed to be the highest point of Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This small hill station with its crisp air, splashing streams, deep and narrow valleys, voluble waterfalls, strong hills and lush green forests as well as untouched by the sudden changes of commercialization, is the perfect option of celebrating holidays in the lap of Mother Nature in India. Discovered by James Forsyth in 1857, this small yet eye-catching hill station is a remarkable hilly retreat with immaculate waterfalls as well as more or less untouched landscapes. Dense forests flooded with orchards of Saal and bamboo are a few things that describe the natural beauty of Pachmarhi. This beautiful hill station, enfolded in lush green meadows and soaked by numerous streams and waterfalls, is a place to enjoy your holidays in India away from the noisy and polluted city life.

Pachmarhi is full of attractions including, Priyadarshini Point, Pandava Caves, Catholic Church, Christ Church, Jatasankar, Apsara Vihar, Handi KhohDuchess Fall, Bee Fall, Irene Pool, Raj Giri, Satpura National Park, Lanji Giri, Chauragarh and Dhoopgarh. These all attractions pull the attention of tourists from all parts of the globe to celebrate their holidays in India. However, apart from beauty and places of attractions, Pachmarhi is also an archaeological site with an amazing assortment of rock paintings that are believed to be centuries old. These paintings are still vibrant in Dhuandhar caves that show a group of hunters (bowmen) with the emblematic Gond bun and banded earrings; some paintings are also found in Chieftain’s Cave where you can see a battle scene showing two rulers on horse, while Bharat Neer has well implemented animal paintings and pottery shards.
