Kerala is a little green-and-silver, coconuts-and-water state on the west coast of India. Thiruvananthapuram is its capital. Thiruvananthapuram is known for it’s beach- Kovalam, the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple and various museums and palaces; Alappuzha for it’s backwaters, Thrissur, the cultural capital, Kottayam for it’s ancient churches. The city has grown as a tourist and commercial centre, with the International airport becoming the main gateway into Kerala. Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala own about 2000 acres of land in Vagamon which is proposed to form the institute of the Health Tourism. Vagamon is a hill station located in Idukki district, will also help in promotion of Monsoon Tourism in the State as Ayurveda treatment and meditation is ideal to be taken during the Monsoon period. Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala own 25 acres of land at Nelliyampathy, a hill station located in Palakkad district at more than 1000m above Mean Sea Level. This institute project can be taken up under the Large Revenue Generating Scheme of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
